I’m already doing bare minimum, just enough to keep the job. I’ve been looking for another job for a while now, and came across some decent offers. I will just use the time to hone in on the best ones, and, god willing, Cisco will liberate me during the coming round. Cisco has no future. It’s been too late to any relevant game. It will just slowly die off, while everyone who stays will have to endure nothing but constant scare by layoffs and anxiety, and nothing to show for it once it’s all over.

The LR's are upsetting. Don't let them ruin your life.
If money is an issue, cut down on your expenses for awhile. Live within your means if possible.
Corporate America is unforgiving.

Alas, I feel like I go through all 5 stages after every staff meeting.

Yes, it’s harder for the older because the pay isn’t as good as it was two years ago and the younger crowd will take it just to get more experience.
People who can't get jobs outside will stay. Me included
