Contractors vs FTEs?

Does anyone have any idea if contractors are going to be impacted as part of the cost savings? Let’s say a team has a number of contractors that cannot be converted to FTE, would they be let go? Would this also account towards the total number being let go from the team?

Tech and Streaming will lose a TON of contractors in September but it does not count in the 2,000. Contractors were let go so MORE resources didn't need to be let go

I agree with last poster The contractors/ freelance are not part of the layoffs numbers

You are absolutely incorrect. I am losing a contractor and they do not count towards the full time employee (FTE) layoffs

The contractors being let go will certainly be from the 2000 job cuts

I’ve heard that nearly all contractors will be eliminated as of September 30

Does that mean they won't count in the 2000?

Contractors will likely be affected but as they are not FTE, they would not be counted among the FTE staff cuts.

@esz+1u6zLaem Does that mean the teams with contractors would have a lower if not none of the FTEs impacted? Are all the contractors supposed to be let go throughout the company?

There are certain rumors around a bunch of contractors imminently supposed to be let go, not sure if that lowers the FTEs number.
