Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

The Captain bailed out about 5 months before 1000 layoffs......easy to see this coming.

Leadership has access to all the numbers and know when the ship is sinking. As the Captain bailed himself to safety first in March, the peasants (3rd class) sank. Sometimes companies disguise this by medical fake outs, family issues, family medical or surprise hey I am retiring early. Also, WFH (working from home) sets a trap that catches do nothing jobs that AI can easily do for free. Folks should have paid attention to all the signs. Very sorry to see anyone laid off.

Yep, the selling off of shares is a big indicator just use AMZ for example. Bezos sold off tons right as TEMU and SHEIN companies in China started selling directly to consumers. This cuts out the middle man like AMZ. Big dog's know the future with info others do not have.

There has been a lot of turnover and churn lately at the SLT level. And prior to the recent market sell off that has rebounded some, a portion of people at the SLT level sold a lot of shares. That’s also something to watch for imo.

CEO s will not leave if buckets of money are flowing and easily had. See one bail out? Better sniff around and find out why.

Investors always look first for top management changes, a known flag on the play, even if "public numbers" for business look beautiful.

At least workers did their best and have a clear conscience. As for leadership taking care of themselves first........mirrors polit-cans . But everyone has a Book of Life to be opened up one day . Peasants/workers walk away clean and honest.

we've been talking about when the ax was coming down for months so it's not as if we weren't paying attention. sadly, short of leaving, there wasn't a whole lot any of us could do to change the outcome no matter we knew it was heading our way.
