"Realize that the employees in many European countries spent 4-5 months in uncertainty during the last round due to local employment laws that lead to lengthy redundancy procedures… A month really isn t all too much. " Yes, but those of you in European countries get far better deals in terms of severance and protection.

Going back and watching MEDDPICC and SFDC Training over and over again until I’m really good at it. Then, spending nights and weekends updating these systems. This place is awesome.

Motivation is hard to come by especially for people like me who are 50+ knowing that you are most likely on the chopping block

exactly why you should be cut. This isn’t adult daycare with diaper changes. Get motivated and work like you’re future depends on it, because it does.

Definitely not working. Mandatory webex check ins, no video, on mute. Put me on the list, I dare you. What a dumpster H1B fueled firepit.

People down voting my comment of working hard because I’m employed and getting a paycheck 100% are the ones getting laid off for being in useless positions.

Finding a new job and figuring out how to spend my severance check.

This place is dead to me.

It's one month to force people to leave so they don't have to pay severance. It's a nice tactic they play.

It’s going to be pretty hard for my team. Bunch of deadlines coming up, and it’s not like we are gonna get promoted for anything for it.

No worry my team leaders already well design a system. Engineer audit engineer few times a day. PM schedule few releases parallel against same IC pool, bad quality as usual. Any issue will bring up another release. No one is idle and work like no tomorrow.
We keep loosing engineer on every single LR, no replacement. Workload just shared by the remaining engineer.

This is Cisco well thought strategy to delay by a month, and most Cisco employees already with advance stages on mental health and going postal, will cross the line and will get so stressed out, and go crazy, half will quit or find other positions thus helping achieve their attrition targets while saving money to add to ELT bonuses. This is true only if ELT is super smart and innovative. Any one have doubts?

More importantly what is everyone doing in their last Vegas , Cisco send off courtesy of ELT

I would love to F off some but seems no one I work with got the memo, they are acting like we got a 500% bonus , meeting like crazy, seems like more work than before we heard about the LR. Im already burnt out to the point I dont care either way just want it to all stop for a minute, and no Im not going to take any pto since any day I missed means 4 more to make up for it. you wonder why we quit or need mental health days.

Applying for roles! At least a few a day. By the time you get a call, interview and to an offer, the month should be up.

It would be awesome if it worked to get a better job and severance at the same time.
