Can someone explain to me why they added another level of managers? These new managers only have 3-4 direct reports.
How is it someone with 8 years experience is able to get one of these jobs. If I was a Sr. or Staff who applied and didn’t get it I would be pretty upset.
Won’t someone think of the poor senior managers? It’s tough sitting in meetings doing nothing all day.
@5rpy+1u69K5Pl The question from OP was why new managers have 3-4 direct reports. It’s because the previous managers got time-consumed by high maintenance bad apples when they already have 10+ direct reports and regular workload to deal with.

That’s how they separate the high maintenance bad apples direct reports. They distribute the under performing reports to a new manager for him/her to deal with. You get 1 good direct report and 3 high maintenance that will eat up your time and energy.
The people leaving the negative comments are twats , and for the reason this so called unqualified person got the job is probably because like most managers they are bag lickers and brown nosers and the upper management likes there noses where they are that’s why ! And this is Cenovus so anything that actually makes sense isn’t really an option they like to do stuff the overpriced hard way

They’ll streamline the manager level in the next round of layoffs.
