High Stress & Short Tempers

With all this BS, let’s keep in mind that our colleagues are likely going through the same anxiety and anger. Tempers may get short - but it’s not personal. Let’s keep that in mind and be a bit more forgiving with both ourselves and others.

empathy is about thinking about others .
we are all under pressure in this chaos .

after a mornings commute , traveling the NYC subway full of crazies .

I don't want to be in the office with other crazies
because they are worried about this chaos.

So pleeeease , do not thread on me at the office.
go home and take your frustration there .
I'm in the same boat as you

the message here is to step back and to put any potential irritability into context. to have empathy for yourself and your teammates. no one is suggesting putting up with inappropriate, targeted anger or harassment.

Ew this thread got gross. It is NORMAL to feel angry. Many of us have poured our hearts and souls into this job. We have a PASSION for entertainment. We love working here, we love our teams. And while the decision making may not have been personal, losing your job, your livelihood, IS PERSONAL. It affects everything in your life. I am angry, unmotivated, anxious, extremely sad. I am sad and angry not only for myself but for everyone impacted or living in this horrible limbo. During this time we should treat everyone with extra grace and kindness so please take your unhelpful comments elsewhere. We are trying to comfort, support, and commiserate here. If you can’t do that or you’re going to blame people for their totally normal feelings - go ahead and write it out but DO NOT post.

If someone has a short temper now , he/she always had it .we don’t go to work to be disrespected .
Report any angry people or short tempered immediately to HR.
It’s a pretty good way to get FIRED, with no exit package.
This is not the time to loose your cool . There is no room for angry .
DONT TAKE YOUR STRESS AND ANGER ON ANYONE.

What this person is suggesting , is ok to take some else’s anger and frustration anyone , because of the layoffs.

If there are any “ANGRY “ persons, it’s not a good thing.
It’s a business and like any business it’s NOT personal.
I would emphasize on security at the office. In case someone is going to go postal!
can you imagine an Angry person around you?
