Always have your resume ready to go, polished. Never get comfortable. Have good references.
Ops/field employees are viewed as expendable and replaceable.

It was a lot of nothing in AZ. Car washers were laid off. Everyone over reacted.

In addition to the numerous rounds of layoffs over the last 2 years, the corporate office continues to promote people in Estero. They cut the payroll budget by laying people off then add a percentage of it back to take care of their kool-aid drinkers in Florida. If you cut payroll to cut costs after several bad company decisions, it's stupid to add back to it with promotions. You're just robbing Peter to pay Paul.

All field staff will be impacted. Operations will feel a huge impact . Location closures expected. Those location not showing same store growth are closing. Manager will not ne offered other locations they will be laid off. Hiring of executives will continue as usual.
Someone tell Gil there is a CEO opening at Chipotle.

They don’t have the budget to maintain the current staffing levels of field employees but have enough to bring on a cadre of executive leaders. It’s back to basics all right, of using RIF to solve too many systemic issues, bad decision making and poor management teams. They decided to allocate the budget this way and the frontline employees are the ones losing. We are also asked to continue to work hard and stay focused while we all have the axe hanging over our necks. 🤬

Will this include corporate employees or just the field? Does anyone know the scope?

I saw the letter. That’s going to be a big one if they’re notifying the work force prior.

Us based workforce, say goodbye to friends and colleagues in the coming weeks. Implement back to basics. Team members will be informed by there supervisors and human services. They urge everyone to remain focused on customer service experience during this time. Hahaha

What were the details of the email? Are they needing names of employees to be submitted for layoffs?
