Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Message To All Manufacturing Tuesday Morning

I see Peter Gibbons is doing a live event Tuesday morning and all 30,000 plus manufacturing employees have been invited. Does anyone have any insight what's coming down the pipe?

Be loyal to 3M and you will never be laid off. That is the 3M promise. You can trust 3M. 3M would never pollute the global water supply or end your employment on a whim. Trust 3M. Work hard, the company has you covered.

Stock price rising doesn't benefit the ordinary employees except those LTI eligible. Therefore let those people handle the stress, while ordinary employees just quiet quit. Those high levels are paid well anyway.

A massive nothingburger aside from the Tireman telling us that we must be doing things right since the stock price has rebounded. No firewall talk or discussion of the 10's of millions paid to the K-boys.

Anyone "excited" when they shared the NPI of SIBG and TEBG? Looking at such a low $ impact, 3M is doomed for new product sales

there are a few whispers in C-Suite that the plan is to build a dynamic future and service dinners and other past benefits that were lifted pre-covid will indeed be started again, BB has a plan and it starts with the production departments, getting rid of middle management will streamline bodies and pushing on through with the R.T.O might annoy a lot but this is the new way forward

3M is not a Christmas kitchen for homeless people. Service dinners et al are things of the past. It’s time to work to get the share price soaring again. That’s a win win for all involved.

Bill Brown will be a surprise guest to announce Peter will be promoted to CEO in waiting. And that Peter is getting another 3 ranking and a huge bonus if he stays 3 more years.

Is the OP new to 3M? Town halls are quarterly and everyone is invited. It’s not a conspiracy every time there’s a communication event.

I hope he opens up for a "Live Q&A"

It’s his scheduled town hall. Happens every quarter.

it is with great pleasure he wants to reward our efforts with a new shake up on Service dinners and more incentives being given to all production employees, either that or it will be a free latte or puncture repair as the funkster Gibbs has plenty of vouchers left over from previous jobs
