Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Medtronic Neurovascular

Under the leadership of Dan Volz, the Neurovascular business has plummeted. Shame on Brett Wall and Geoff Martha for their poor judgment in placing Dan in multiple leadership positions. Dan… Commercial Transformation under your leadership will lead to Commercial Degradation for this great organization. Brett… a loud plea to your common sense …. Please demonstrate some level of intelligence in asking Stacy Pugh about her interest in returning.

Medtronic Neurovascular is spiraling towards insignificance. The new Neurovascular leadership team are VPs and “friends of Dan and Linnea” with zero influence in the market placing the business on the brink irrelevance. Brett… your disengaged involvement and incompetent leadership decisions demonstrates that you are more concerned about the blends from your winery than with helping patients and moving the market forward. It is obvious that chronyism instead of merit reigns supreme with Geoff, Brett, Dan, and now, Linnea.

Heads up to all Medtronic Neurovascular employees…. Please be prepared for the imminent and significant FY25 RIF under the leadership of Linnea.

RIP Medtronic Neurovascular.

Volz is very arrogant. Not for any reason, just arrogant. Never saw him do a thing at SI and look at where they are at now.

Dont get deceived by "good MIP means good performance" - Geoff and Brett give their favorites more achievable plans so normal business performance looks like a big home run - conversely when they want to get rid of someone they give them an impossible plan and berate them for underperformance.

NV FY23 had probably the best MIP while most other businesses had about 50%. Surprised that it’s not doing as well as before. With so many promising products coming in the pipeline the business should have been on autopilot mode to great success.

There have been RIFs for the last two years in O-arm. The leadership on site is a goofy cast of characters. There’s a set of incompetent product managers including a wanna be drill sergeant, ja----s software manager, and absent stoner testing manager. Quality manager and service manager are ok though. Because of the poor management a lot of bad to even illegal behavior gets excused. During the RIFs good people were let go while useless ones stayed. I’m not sure who good will even be left to run O-arm in the future.

Geoff has a pattern of elevating mediocre yes men from Buisness roles to over titled corporate gigs.

Yea, I’m sure you could do better. Why not step up and show the world who you are?? Instead of tearing others down…
