Those close to retirement better have a plan in place (thus not be at too much risk) but if not, they're as foolish as those who choose to stay on and be RIF fodder -at this point-
Many of the people I knew still in 207 were probably close to retirement. I hope this isn't a big impact to their plans.
do they expect anyone to work versus looking for a job? they are going to lay you off at some point for sure so why bother
Those rebadged, if they're pumping you to train offshore help, you'll be gone sooner than later most likely. Don't give em everything. They're playing dirty so give it back in spades. Make sure they'll miss you when you are dispatched.
Dozens of the production engineering group gone. I believe over 70.
It was bad.
Multiple groups to be converted to HCL and lose their 6wks vacation (down to 4).
Get out the place is a disaster and C Level has no idea what they are doing.
We lost one saleswoman, that’s all I know.
If you take the HCL rebadge route, you are still entitled to the 12 weeks severance when you are let go in 6 months. If you sign up for their 4% matching on 401K, they will contribute an additional 4% of your severance towards your 401K. It's a nice short term arrangement.
If you rebadge to HCL they'll just let you go in 6 months anyway. Leave on your own terms.
I heard that some were laid off and some were offered to be rebadged to HCL. If they don't want to except the HCL offer can take the 12 week severance.
I was told that 169 were "impacted." We lost at least 2 here in Wilsonville Print-Head R&D.
Best wishes to those affected, remember: it's not you, it's them.
Xerox redefining Re- invention
Tech in 207/208, laid off today. Lots more too
So far in 207 Webster, it seems to be ~10%
Just heard from a friend who was sales rep in south east. He just got the call and was let go. He was told 1,000 to go today.
What exactly is going on? Are there layoffs? Are folks being re-badged as HCL?
