Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

Bonus Targets and The New CFO

Well, I am guessing our Bonus Targets with be close to nothing to cover the compensation package offered to the new CFO. It’s concerning that leadership justifies these high compensation packages (see below), particularly when employees are being told that merit increases won't keep up with the cost of living, and bonuses are being slashed by 75%. This raises serious questions about leadership's connection to the workforce and their understanding of the financial pressures faced by employees. The pay ranking is based off of industry. As you can see, Alex is #1. Does his performance and the companies performance justify his salary? I think not. Look at Julie. Is she the #4 best general counsel in the world. I dont think so. These ranking would indicate that HP is top tier performer but I leadership justifies our lack of pay increases by say we are not.

What @piz says is true. Even VP salary is dog water. Regardless of your opinion of VPs, they still overwork themselves to death (doing who knows what honestly) and travel yet they only make like... $180k (source: my former manager in 2023 when I left the company)
