The offer of VSP also serves as a way to identify those who don't really want to be with the company. If you volunteered for VSP and denied, you are now on a list. Next time layoffs come around, the package won't be so good, and guess who will be at the top of the list? It's interesting what you learn at a happy hour after certain folks have been drinking for a while.

So many Good, Productive staff have come, gone and many still there. A lot of good ones still there are not in a position to leave because of fear of the unknown to go outside of an organization they have sweated and tolled long long hours for. Agreed not everyone is a weed, But there are more than a few bad apples ruining for everybody.

We are not weeds; some of us are scapegoats. I’m proud of my work for Sabre, but I took severance because of internal politics, which made us scapegoats for their failures. The truth is that they just wanted to save their jobs and hide the mess they had created. Some natural talents are stuck there due to job inflation and are now overloaded.

It seems I am the undesirable. I like what I do, but there is no rest. I start my work day at 10 AM and not finish till 11PM - 01AM. This is because I have to work with people in Krakow, Uruguay and USA. There is no work life balance. My Monday starts at 10 AM and I do not have an early logout on Friday. I have to spend most of my weekends preparing for the week ahead. It is not worth the salary I get for the stress I endure. Moreover it is a toxic work environment.

Wrong. It is the weeds which are the leftovers. Resources with the best industry experience opted for VSP because Sabre is a toxic work environment and has no future but bankruptcy. The reason why sabre is in this position is not because of the people who actually perform and deliver tasks. The reason is the leaders. The day these failed Directors, VPs and SVPs are fired will be positive turnaround for Sabre.

You do not realize how toxic the environment is till you leave.. At one time it felt like Leadership cared if the employees wanted to stay, but now feels more like they want as many to leave as possible no matter what it takes. Glad I got out after too many years hoping for the best and the big turnaround (Shift)....
