Here's how I experienced the severance process:

Perhaps they should add this video for clarification.
"Why worry about something that isn't going to happen?" - They should print that on the IPO share certificates.
The policy was “updated for clarity” with timestamp of last week according to internal website.
Don't worry fellas, good times ahead!
...until your dream comes true..
Dream on...
October surprise!
@1yah+1u2NdWDa Or they could just look at the severance policy umm say at work where it is officially stated.
But to save you the effort the “changed” severence policy says you get 4 million krone for every 2.7 years of employeement.
"@1edd+1u2NdWDa Someone asked on this site what the impact of a “severance policy change” would be on someone with 20 years experience versus prior to the “change” ."
No, they did not. While that is a reasonable inference given the title of this thread, the question that was actually posed was the difference in VRBP and involuntary severance for someone with 20 years at the company.
Anyhow, as I recall, for the VRBP, 20 year tenure was 9 months of salary. I'd have to look at the severance policy again to be sure, but I think it's 2 weeks for every year (with max of 52 weeks).
@1vxc+1u2NdWDa Don’t waste your time. Just observe them in their natural habitat and use it for entertainment.
Kind of like watching D-mb and D-mber. Don’t try and take it seriously.

How can anyone downvote calling that out as a ridiculous question for the layoff.com?
You are right. You should just post all your HR questions here. Seems like the smart move…
"If you seriously want that info I would recommend you not look on the layoff.com.
It isn’t really a definitive source of anything useful."
One thing for sure is that your answer was not useful.
@OP+1u2NdWDa - Why would you post a lie, knowing that there are folks worried about being laid off?
@1jso+1u2NdWDa “ What is the financial difference between the two for a person having 20 years of company service?”

“ Severance policy was updated
Here we go…”
People who post ill defined rile people up BS like that should be severed.
Maybe it was altered. Or maybe not. But you either wanted to poke the bear or you are one of the many people with no sense of context.
Either way it isn’t a good look
"Who needs a VRBP when you can have an involuntary severance!"
What is the financial difference between the two for a person having 20 years of company service?
I got an email on the 29th about updates to some policies that explicitly states that the severance pay plan policy was NOT changed.
What specifically changed?
And that’s a big part of why I took the last VRBP in 2021. You cannot have voluntary retirement if involuntary retirement isn’t also a thing.
Who needs a VRBP when you can have an involuntary severance!
And what was changed?
Will Company Man get the axe?
