In response to how was the transition. The CLI is the same. Arista EOS runs on an unmodified Linux kernel. I found that having all of the Linux commands and capabilities at your disposal was a great help in troubleshooting.

You will find Arista CLI and look and feel eerily similar to Cisco :-) No trouble adjusting

How was the transition
I have barely touched their devices in one occasion (small project)
I mean we all know the standard routing /switching protocols but the CLI might not be always the same and as far as I could see the troubleshooting commands were fewer and sometimes convoluted or going down to Linux commands to troubleshoot the network equivalents

Worked at Arista for 4 years after getting laid off from Cisco and before retiring. IMHO they have superior products and take customer support seriously.
