As somebody who left PepsiCo in January, it took me months to fully recover mentally from the toxic environment I was a part of for so long. You don't even realize what a company like that takes from you in the way of your mental well-being until you leave. My advice to all of you who are still there is to look for a way out. I can guarantee your life will improve significantly once you leave.

I “retired” in April. I think it’s like waking up from a long coma and having to relearn how to navigate all parts of life and being a grownup. Oh and the sunshine. It’s great to see the sunshine again. Highly recommended if you can afford it.
So great to hear from those that have moved on and are happy again!
I left several months ago. My alcohol consumption has nearly stopped.
I agree - you know it’s a toxic environment but have no idea the toll it’s taking on your mental and physical health. Your nervous system will reset after months (close to a year) leaving you lighter in body and mind. It’s been such an unexpected bonus for me.
In my opinion, if anyone can take the VRP, DO IT. If you can afford it, it is a no brainer. This is the worse I have ever seen this company. For those starting out, they probably don’t know better yet and hopefully they can get some experience and build their resume.
I was thinking of Brooks from Shawshank Redemption. He was "on the inside" for so long that he was "institutionalized". So, after decades with the company I've applied for the VRP. I have no idea what life on the outside will be like, but it really does feel like being paroled.
Left just about 3 months ago and have noticed my advil consumption has been reduced significantly along with the constant headaches..best thing I have done for my mental and physical health.
I can attest to this as well. I left in March after dealing with the toxic environment and it was totally worth it.
Thank you for that
