Is this the standard or expected timeline? All clear by Thursday EOD?

Not necessarily. I knew some mgmnt in February that waited a long time. I was notified early on Feb 15th the day after Q2 earnings that my role was eliminated. due to a business decision. Very scripted and no questions were answered as to how and why and who selected me.
Sad part.....a week prior I got an exceptional mid year review and was told that I was on track to get promoted to a grade 8.
You should already have the 1-1 with your manager on the calendar if you are about to be cut.
Thursday is conveniently an Indian holiday and a holiday across most of Europe.
Maybe there actually isn’t an LR this time. Sounding like that is the case.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Current manager of many managers & ICs here. Last time, planning happened well before the quarterly results call, they were announced in the quarterly results call, and individuals were notified the next day. I was heavily involved in that planning. There has been no planning in my org up to the VP level that would allow for LR notifications to happen tomorrow. ymmv.
PTO does not protect you from LR. By the end of Friday US Employees will know. It taking a bit longer in APJC and even longer in EMEA.
Almost every LR I saw it will target to the mgr layer, however it never happen. Every time it hit engineer hard especially on G11.
"Managers would know about who are impacted if the LR is this week"
This LR will affect the bloated management layer heavily. Why would they tell you ahead of time that you yourself are getting laid off?
Can you get laid off if youre on pto?
Managers would know about who are impacted if the LR is this week, y'all. I am one of them. Not happening this week.
Should have 60 days until your last day, or pay you check for 60 days and you may leave immediately, this is required by California WARN for massive layoff over 50 persons.
By contract we are allowed to have two days off, medical leave, without any paper from a doctor. Thinkibg about taking these two days off to mi d for sone real problems that I have
Unless you (or your boss) is on PTO
Or you are on leave
