Thread regarding Alteryx layoffs

Another content writer resigned.

It’s concerning to see two departures within just 30 days. It raises questions about the environment under the current content and brand leadership—it must be quite the place to work.

On another note, are we leaning on GPT-4o as our new content writer? Given the situation, it seems we’re now relying heavily on just two contractors. This trend might be telling us something.

This shows how much people who comment here don’t know what they’re talking about. I am the content writer that resigned - I didn’t leave because of any issues of leadership or the company - I’m leaving tech altogether for a different industry.

The brand team is doing well, the team has become really close in the face of everything going on, and I wish them all nothing but the best.

LB I don’t know who you are but I hope you can look inward and find some peace.

I think that the writer leaving is a bigger sign of issues with others being overbearing and stepping outside of their lines to try and grab control and doing it in a mean and unpleasant way.
And if I were that overbearing person, maybe I'd spend more time looking in the mirror and self-reflecting so I can try to find a new job and foster a better work environment that doesn't make my peers want to leave the company rather than work with me.
I was considering leaving Alteryx but now that the intentional obstructionist is gone I might stay. They were really awful to work with.

Bottom line it has nothing to do with climate here.

The climate?

There are nasty people still present who are intentionally hindering progress, disrupting workflows across different departments, and causing obstacles any way they can. The climate is unhealthy.

Bottom line it has nothing to do with climate here. It has to do with everyone’s RSUS eventually running out and majority of people will take a steep paycut if you are here when they run out

Yeah, not great right now on the brand team. Everyone there (every single person) is looking outside and will likely be gone by EoY or early 2025.
