Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

TAM Townhall Was a Joke

The last TAM townhall was a joke. Leadership spending half the time talking about how much growth opportunity there is in the company.

They brought out a guy who told his story if 'climbing the corporate ladder' - part of his story? Getting laid off by Nielsen a few years ago. Everyone else who spoke were given positions out of nepotism. Oh wait sorry I mean 'networking'.

Whats to stop a nielsen data scientist from cell phone recording all town halls. And when gets laid off, after getting his sweet 1 week a year severance, dumping all the town hall videos on Truth Social, Rumble and X?

To add to previous post, maybe spice it up with some Catch-and-Ki-l, Hush Money intrigue— those tried and true journalistic practices…

I’m not a party to the posted ‘negotiations;’ all I’ll say is that since considerations of ethics and corruption don’t seem to play a big role in Nielsen’s ultimate decisions, why let them dictate yours, lol???? Let the bidding begin!!!!!!

'It's a high price.'

Curious, what is your price?

"You want to recording? It's a high price. How much are willing to spend?"

Paying sources for stories or information (sometimes called “checkbook journalism”) is traditionally seen as either unethical or an affront to the entire profession, depending on whom you ask. According to the Society of Professional Journalists, “the practice of checkbook journalism threatens to corrupt the newsgathering and reporting functions of the media. … It threatens to undermine journalism and damage democracy.”

OBS is a free screen recorder allowing you to record videos played on your screen.

Greetings! Who has the video? I may be interested in publishing it on independent media outlet on a story about Nielsen layoffs and outsourcing.

How can there be any growth opportunity if they are only hiring in India and other cheap countries?

Growth comes from the people you work with, not for some d-mb manager or company politics. They are trying to appeal to those that are mostly brain dead or near the end of their career so that they don't leave too while the new Nielsen is being built somewhere else where is cheap.

I hope people, and the industry in general, can read between the lines and understand where this dead company is going.
