Any advise ?! I work in STS. My manager and directors are all checked out. A few engineers are keeping the lights on. We have no good work coming up. Is it time to move out ?

Of course it’s time to move out, it’s been time for a while now. The actions of EC last year alone is enough for anyone to considering leaving! Things are going to continue to get worse.
Being liked, in the right role and in the right location (Texas) is much more important than taking on new work. And god help you if you find savings that shows incompetence. More butts have been booted for that than any other issue. There be thin skinned a-holes about.
Best to leave and have a solid savings plan with supplemental income options. That can be rental property, a side gig with approval or dividends.
But the advice that you take more work and find savings? Bad advice. Almost always it is interpreted badly by the SVP worried about their role and power.
Don't wait for the work to come to you. There is plenty that needs to be done but few who are willing to take the initiative to do it. Look for ways to generate revenues, improve efficiencies, reduce costs. I've been here since 1998 through several layoffs and that's what worked for me. A little ambition will take you far at Schwab.
Start applying. Find a job paying the same or better. Maybe remote...

Should’ve started looking last July, but better late than never.
Run…run as fast as you can. I just left Schwab and it was the best decision of my life. Grass is greener. Food tastes better. Air is fresher. Your future self will thank you.
- If you from service , they will find you a new project.
- if you are FTE non-visa, they start looking outside it will take time to come your way
- if you know which vendor taking over the project, swicth the ship if option given, that will give you more time to find new job.
- If you are FTE and on VISA then look new job, try to switch internally or switch service.
Do not wait for last minute, point (1-4) are easier then said.
