Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

A typical day at Gainwell

Although I consider myself a well-rounded, somewhat intellectual and a technical person. I was made to feel as if I was worthless and had little value other than being an administrative assistant.

You have a supervisor who has been most of his career, a project manager. Then you have the subordinate that has worked in the areas of networking, telecommunications to server administration. If only to find out that your supervisor has been downplaying your skills and playing off to managers of other departments that you have no technical skills. And then there are those who have immense technical skillsets but are not as well spoken and those who don't, but are great speakers. It seems like the extroverts who are good at BS'ing, will always get ahead of those that are not so extroverted.

And of course today was a day of gas-lighting or overt acts by the BS squad that will not allow you to finish a sentence or talk for yourself. More or less, an indirect way of bullying to be top dog in the kennel.

Forget about trying to move to another position in a different department. Only after under the table deals have been done for positions that were not openly advertised. Do you find out there were job openings, just no one knew about them.

At the end of the day, it's an anxiety, frustration and sadness that overwhelms you. You can't go to higher management or HR because they don't really care. You're just a number, to help them meet their numbers and whatever is expected of them.

This is what it means to be at Gainwell

@WE Deming

Gainwells standards are far lower than that. They wouldn’t save any employees. They would sell every one of us and give no explanation or even make up an excuse. The Gainwell standard is pretty much the lowest that it gets.

Look on the bright side you can now tell your friends and family that Gainwell has the same quality standards as Boeing and the US Secret Service.

I wake up and am fine until it's time to go to work. Then my stomach becomes tied up in knots, as if I have a stomach virus and need to vomit. Partially due to my anxiety levels increasing.

I can't speak for other parts of the company. But ITO-* is horrendous. Everything is so retroactive and about the undermining of others to prop oneself up.

It doesn't help when you're in a department where you can not make a statement without someone trying to correct you or make it as if you're statement alone is not enough, and they do it with the attitude of admonishing you.

But I keep my head down, try not to draw attention to myself and do my job with the focus of ending the work day as soon as possible.

If they ran a lemonade stand they'd be actively looking for a way to offshore it to India and hire more executives in the process

Tomorrow. Fire up the grill. Crack a beer. Another week of relaxing work time at Gainwell.

The worthless pukes running this company have no business running a summer lemonade stand.

I sincerely hope the imbecile that down voted the precious comment loses their job to some Tech Mahindra fool. You deserve it, useless sycophant.
