Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Don't sit around gloating over not being laid off

Most of the people that were laid off in April have been able to get jobs. But those jobs have been snapped up. The best opportunities went to those who were smart enough to leave the company BEFORE the layoffs. The takeaway is, it's much better to get a new job while you're still employed. Once you've been laid off, you lose your bargaining power. Don't sit around gloating over not being laid off. When you're turn comes, you will find familiar faces wherever you apply for work. People who got there way ahead of you and may not be happy to see you. If you think you are special for not being laid off yet, you're dead wrong.

An excellent point by @rql+1tiKx8PH.

BCS sector in Palm Bay is looking gloom. we lost one of our best PM’s and only have two big contracts keeping the lights on. After GWS is over, not sure what will happen to us…

Nobody is gloating. Why would you even think that. We are all just keeping our heads down and trying to do the job of more than one person. The people in the trenches are not "proud" of being the "keepers". Get over yourself.

If you still work at L3Harris in Palm Bay, FL you should have jumped ship when you could have, there is probably not any great jobs left in the area” and the ~good ones are getting hard to find. The festering tu-d known as L3H is circling the bowl and waiting for the final flush, probably around end of year holiday break. Merry Christmas
