Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

LOL!!!! AVAYA CEO to RETIRE.....at the end of the year.

Will he return the payout given to drive Avaya to file Chapter 11 while telling his partners, customers, & shareholders that Bankruptcy wasn't going to happen?
Mr. Open, Honest, Transparent, & WHATEVER should be in jail for his lies and the bribe he received from Apollo Global.

I haven’t seen or heard a single word from AM since bankruptcy week when he stole all my savings after lying to all of us for months that bankruptcy wasn’t on the table.

ML didn’t get the role because she is being sued by her previous employer. Mark my words: she will be out before the new FY.

PD was a failure at his last 2 roles and now he gets to continue that pattern at Avaya whilst taking the big bucks and bets already being taken internally as to how long ML & ST can last......

He was fired. It’s been a shamble 2 years: Jim S court case claiming he heard AM asking to fire “old white males” from APS, the sh-tshow with AM-C which he had to settle out of court, and the bullying ML and ST have been doing under his nose for past 9 months. Lotsa court cases on the horizon, so much for a DPTW.

The BoD did not push out Masarek. In fact, Masarek planned this exit before the BoD was even in place. His 2 year contract is up. They have been planning for his exit since August 2023.

ML was a bull-in-a-china-shop trying to force her way to secure the role. It was a disasterous journey, not dissimilar to the running of the bulls. Apollo and Bain do not need to drama or Glory Gods.

Masarek joined Avaya with the intent to grow it and expand it. He unfortunately had to come on board to realize that the data was all flawed. Avaya did not have the installed base that they kept claiming they had and Apollo had him over a barrell. He had no choice but to give in to Apollo and pursue Chapter 11. That experience is not his cup of tea. He knew he would not continue passed the contract and informed the board a year ago. ML was hired and informed that she could have a shot at that role. Unfortunately, she beleived it was already hers and was a little TOOOOOO agressive and a little TOOOOOO confident. While her drama was playing out, the Chairman of the Board situation changed and his current company got an offer to make his PE (Thoma Brava) a lot of money. So suddently, a repeate PE turaround guy is now available and comes with no drama. Bain and Apollo realized they had found AM's replacement.

Avaya will be Morphed/Divided/Expanded/Rebranded & Sold -- All within 18 mos.

NOW --- The past 2 CEO's moved HQ to where they lived. North Carolina. Morristown NJ (AM in CT). Will this one follow suit in Colorado?

He probably only had a 2 yr contract anyway and was brought in to do exactly what he did. If revenues and valuation improved any while on his watch, it would only sweeten the pot, but it wasn't going to get him more time.

Word on the street is that he was fired by the board.

“Two years ago, I came out of retirement to help lead Avaya forward, knowing that the company’s opportunity was extremely profound...."

You're a liar, cheat, you fixed nothing. You're a corporate raider that stole careers and investments from many loyal employees. Your real legacy will follow you the rest of your days.

i predict am's "retirement" will be short lived and he will surface again at some other company to repeat all his bs yet again. Its just too lucrative for him to resist.

Be careful what you celebrate, ask the Aspect folks what they think about Patrick Dennis. From the frying pan to the fire with this move.
