My usual meeting with my manager got moved to tomorrow - is this it? I'm hoping it is, I'm in my 60s and ready to retire.

When Nielsen has layoffs, why don't they lay off the racist managers too? Is being a racist and in the clique good for your career and provide job stability? If you want to not be laid off, maybe move to GA and join the other racist Nielsen manager clique?

Did you get laid off without severance? Nielsen's private owners must be desperate to boost profits to take it public again to make billions on their investment hahaa. Elliott Investment Management is the king of hedge funds.
were they contractors/freelancers? while severance is not required by law, not giving something especially with no 60 day warning IS a warn act violation. I’d see a labor attorney.
no severance????
I got lots of calls and text’s yesterday Audio fired a bunch of people with no severance and no outreach programs to get new work. Just basically let go and thanked for their service
I was let go and the wave of relief that washed over me is insane. Time to move past this company and the toxicity
they jump on after
I saw a +1 unknown attendee on my invite but they corrected it and it disappeared.
but hr also invited me to my prior layoff meeting by mistake so i saw many dozens of other managers on there and knew who was gonna be laid off
they also accidentally invited my coworker to someone else’s layoff meeting too
hr needs to be laid off. fools all of them.
Update?
Same usual meeting was pushed to today…don’t see HR on the invite. Do they normally jump on after the meeting has started?
If this is it, I hope they don’t do you like they did me—making me suffer for 1 more month
Don’t tell them that you were planning on retiring and ask for a larger severance package due to your age and the financial hardship you will experience.
