It's July now. I was really hoping to see some of these STS Managing Directors either quit or get laid off by now. Are they waiting for the big D to leave first and get cleaned out with a new CIO? Is it the ICs that are the problem at this point or the leadership that is still here? I will now get grab my last coffee of the day before I begin my painful commute home

After 10 years, an MD can vest all their shares provided as part of their comp if retiring. MDs get a great sum of stock. He’s probably waiting to get his 10 years in then cash in. Good for him.

Revamp and Show door to FTE
deny GC/PR to service company contractor. - If Schwab can waste money on this team that means Schwab have money but not for right team, or right people.
Here is the story. Big D has no background in IT, he is a career politician. So he keeps Little T who he thinks knows his stuff in IT (not really) as his second fiddle.
Big D has more ignorant who have no experience in IT under him (fact check their backgrounds) only few have actual development experience, others are just talkers. Big D just want to manage politics. That's all.

Where did you hear Dennis is leaving? And would the big T become CIO if that is the case.
I like to think the MDs in STS can see the job market for what it is and all opt to stay. As for laying off MDs I think we all know that was never truly going to happen. It looks like your first guess is the right one and they are all waiting for Big D to leave and see if they get promoted or kicked to the curb.
