Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Nothing says Caring like "So what if there is a hurricane, get to work!"

Nothing says Caring like "A hurricane is forecasted to hit our area with tropical storm force winds and considerable rain. Get your a-s to the campus anyway, but you are responsible for your own safety, so monitor the rain amounts".

DWW doesn’t give a f about you; he was probably taken away for his own safety. Nothing will come out of this. You will complain but you won’t do anything about itz

What if someone had been seriously injured on campus by 50+ mph wind blown debris?

What if someone has been seriously injured or ki-led driving to Campus or from campus?

Seems like the EM Culture of Caring has been superseded by EM Culture of Darren.

Beryl hitting Houston directly was a headcount reduction plan.

Plan failed. We all survived.

As long as you have the Proper PPE, HR will will back you up in case of an accident. Now get your a$$ to work.

HR will be disappointed to find out that we all survived Beryl.

Since the end goal of HR is to completely destabilize Spring, the stop recruiting. The excuse to keep a sustainable age demographic is no longer valid when the ultimate target is zero.

Just stop hiring and eventually retirements and attrition will get to zero without giving NSI to fully productive workers.

Hold the handrail. snort! 🤣

Hoping the cube gets blown off. Wish there was an option to post pics. So glad NOT to be there anymore and deal with all that bureaucratic BS.

Stay safe, people!

Management should use today’s campus attendance to identify who is NSI.

So caring of them not to send any additional updates. Guess none were needed with biz as usual expected at campus. Pay no mind to the hurricane passing thru!

Nothing would make me happier than seeing the „cube“ be blown right off its foundation.

I am personally grateful for my supervisor who sent out a note last Fridays saying "please consider working from home due to severe weather".

When you get to campus today after your voyage through the hurricane. Make sure to hold the hand rail because safety is a priority (only if you can make to campus).

This's for the Clinton Sarnia and Calgary guys. Beryl is hitting Houston now. Flooding. Strong winds. Storm surge. It's loud. Classes are cancelled. It's dangerous out there. Are you sure you want to come down here?

@OP and everyone else:

Call in sick. Problem solved.

Or, you can go full-gangster and just log in from home anyway. I can guarantee that every executive will be doing the same thing.

The hourly forecast for Houston has winds 73 mph at 5AM but down to 56 mph by 8 AM so there is no need to close campus.

If all Spring Campus employees attemp to drive to work in those conditions, several will die.

Keeping Campus open is just part of the HC10 headcount reduction plan.

Exactly. It's this type of tone deaf communication that continues to ki-l all trust and credibility of every level of management.
Honestly, the company continues to try to influence behavior while losing all control.
I'll continue to watch until my last days... No better destruction than an implosion, right? Lol
