As a competitor to Baker Hughes (BPC) upstream chemicals, please keep the current management in power. We love it. Fish in a barrel.
i see y'all havin a too many canadians n yankees from up north steering Petrolite upstream in US of A.
too many clueless chiefs. makes my a-s itch
That so does anyone in BH SLT believe the remnants of Petrolite still left at BH, would command a fee close to the 8.2 Billion USD Schlumberger are about to pay for Champion X? Who is buying?, who is doing the DD? Penny will soon drop that that Business has been asset and talent stripped beyond any viable sale beyond the nameplate (and thats if your a fan of companies like Atari) CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Yawn - been hearing this from about five minutes after the Petrolite BPC “merger”. Wish harder.
You’re doomed - if the opportunity presents itself, jump ship.
I work for upstream chemicals. It is a disaster. We are getting mu---red by champion and our du----s leadership is asking us to make chicken salad with chicken sh*t
SLB is buying Champion-X. HAL has Multi-Chem. No way. To fix Chemicals, 3 simple things.
- Fire all the PowerPoint managers who call themselves sales directors/managers but have never landed one account in their life but can make good PowerPoints and like a cat with a laser beam, Maria and her follower love that. BPC needs true leaders, not managers.
- Since Rusty left, BPC has had a few good short term managers but the job seems to be only 1-2 year stepping stone to something else. Rusty knew and met all the key clients in North America and sent them Christmas cards. These new managers get the local sales reps to make the calls who they found out after, have no relationships with the key leaders in each respective market. Why are we losing market share??? Duh Friends buy from friends. No Trust, not a friend, the local mom and pop chemical company takes over.
- Just in time inventory needs refining. Yes inventory ki-ls companies but lack of product ki-ls it more. The account managers are embarrassed when they tell the clients they can't deliver because the product isn't available.
BPC can be fixed, just needs the right people. Right now, they don't and it will sink faster than ever.
