Is work from home allowed for office workers, or it is in office 5 days a week?

Gonna be work from (on hobbies and whatnot) permanently for a lot of people soon enough. Imperial is so fat on headcount it's not even funny. Your new exxon overlord is going to have the company in line in no time.
It is a pretty relaxed work environment at Imperial. Work from home is the norm as the overstaffed organization, especially corporate departments, struggle to appear busy with most of the work having transitioned offshore to Bangalore, Bangkok, Budapest and other locations.
If you WFH it means your job can be done by BTC or other outsource shop.
Imperial has made that very clear.
