Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Morale down?

why boast about a record setting Q4/FY24, to mention no raises/promotions/budgets, and then hit us with layoffs? What do u think this does to company morale. Work hard to get laidoff next week? Colleagues are very frustrated. This will not turn out good, very talented individuals that cant be easily replaced.

Assuming you are implying GK is causing this, why would the CEO want to destroy this company. I would hope he would want to leave NetApp much better than when he joined.

Looks like someone with a lot of shares trying to make as much profit as possible before retirement.
What other reason could there be for destroying what's left of the company's culture and products.

To the previous poster, there's still good people left but more work for them and more abuse from top down. Makes me sad...

This is not new in that company... that's why I've left for my sanity 6 years ago. Those who left are not the best in the industry.

Well, you got paid for whatever work you did. Remember building is not owned by the "worker" who built it. NetApp will continue to harvest your work in the future but you, my dear enjoy your layoff.

Hey but at least we got those sweet stock buybacks.

can't even count how many times they've talked highly about the company records but then in their next breath they tout how the market is bad. Next announcement is celebrating highest stock pricing which is probably all buybacks anyways
