Just give me severance. I'll gladly go.
Automation, mergers and restructuring are all coming soon! Very few jobs are safe.
Computers cannot acknowledge retention rate and training completed. It’s a failed project and in turn wfm will cease to exist.
You will get your unused PTO paid out if you at least give the common courtesy of a 2 weeks notice. Not sure about other circumstances. Also keep in mind it will be heavily taxed upfront as the government will assume that’s your normal check amount, though come tax time it will be corrected.
If I up and quit, do I get the money from my unused pto?
If leadership is smart (but most likely not), he will start applying for new job and distance himself from the buyer. Turnover is very high and buyers are dwindling in numbers - to be fazed out eventually. Favoring a buyer is like favoring a 35mm camera over a smart phone.
My buyer will throw anyone under the bus to protect himself. By leadership will protect their favorites at any cost. Let the karma begin.
Some stores will shutter for sure but not all. Some are still turning a small profit. However, many jobs are in danger because there are too "many" employees with not enough hours to go around. The few "lucky" employees left standing will be overworked based on the few hours given to them. You may find yourself transferred to a different department but hang in there.
If you need the job, stay with it and don't let the sh*tty managers there try to force you to quit. They are incompetent and chances are, their risk of losing their jobs are greater than yours as they make more $ and there are more of them out there looking to steal each other's jobs. If they push you too hard, report them and get them fired. I'm sure Whole Foods is looking for an excuse to get rid of them more so than some schmuck making minimum wage like yourself.
Click bait. Perhaps some truth to the challenges, but there’s no substance and lots of inaccuracies.
