Permian jobs moving to Houston then to BTC

Management is planning to move as many jobs as possible from Midland to Houston. Once they prove they can do the jobs outside of Midland the next step will be to move the jobs to India. Local Midland management is pushing back but it is just a matter of time.

Why Houston? Send them straight here to BTC. We can do your jobs better than you and we are way cheaper.

I posted about that on this board a few months ago. The rumor had started then, I heard it from a vendor.

If your job doesn’t require you to be in the field most of the time then your days are numbered. Production accounting, regulatory, reservoir, development planning, production engineering, integrity and reliability, engineering design, pretty much everyone except for pumpers and their direct supervisors.
