Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Getting laid off is the preferable option

I have no intentions of sticking around to fulfill their fantasies about having half the workforce doing the work that was once done by twice as many people, if not more. If anybody on my team is laid off, I'll be quitting as well. That's why I'm even low-key hoping I'm affected.

Self respect and mental health is worth far more than a few months of severance. Do yourself a favor and make a decision for you and your family before Cisco sticks it to you. You'll be happy you did so...

If you are impacted by the LR it will sting a first.
But don't fret, it does get better overall. Just make sure to take time to relax, re-calibrate, and figure out what you want to do next.

Definitely make sure to spend time with friends or family members your enjoy, and do some of the things you've been wanting to do for ages.

Remember, it's a mindset, and it's a process!
