It really depends on the individual manager and how many people they have to notify. They usually start going out 60-90 min after the earnings call ends.

I knew something was up in '16 when our manager sent out a mass team message at lunch time advising everyone to watch the earnings call that afternoon. He bolted out of his office 15 min before the earnings call started. An hour after the earnings call, people on the team were commenting in Jabber (pre-Webex) that they'd received meeting requests for the next morning. We pretty much knew then who was a goner.

The night before which weekday?

It's the night of the earnings call, so you're notified first thing the next morning. Cisco has moved to the "rip the bandaid off" notification model instead of announcing the LR ahead of time, telling us how many, when the notification period will be, and what the package looks like. And they call this new model "more transparent".

Should there not be a Beat session or an All Hands meeting before or right after the individual LR terminating meetings?

At least the following week.

You will board a bus
You will see it go past the strip into the desert
They will say get out and leave you there
If you make it back and survive they will reward you with a red badge and maybe a t-shirt

Would absolutely expect them this week, majority (if not all) on Thur.

Scheduled the evening of the earnings call (Wed) for the next day (Thurs) or will be scheduled the day after (Thurs) for that same day. Usually the call is scheduled for 15 min with leader. They will run thru the script.

This is not the final one in this year 2024, the biggest one will be in the early December, around 16% headcount will be cut and company is considering move out of bay area and relocate to RTP, it will save 15% of cost. Finally Cisco this boat will be totally sunk in sometime 2027 to 2028.

Folks, don't waste your precious time working your butt off for this circus of a company. Absolute bare minimum does it. This ship is going down no matter what you do.

I got invite on Feb 14th just after the reading. All organisation (29)was LR one by one, 30min call next day on 15th. I was the first to whom VP read the script because no one was left. They keep it short and dont get involved in conversation.

No way is notification the week. If you believe the manager friends they’re saying the plan is still open. HR will need to see the final list first and reject anyone of the wrong race/creed/haalth/gender etc.

Maybe in a month. Announce Wednesday and then a month of anxious people slacking off.

The freakin’ month has been laden with layoff talk - now ELT has resorted to leaking news to the market a week ahead so that the stock does not tank more than necessary. Talk about fulfilling their duty to the shareholder - we promise to bring the stock back to where it is within 2 weeks.
