Gary announced splunkers will get notices sometime in august and September. Administrative roles were told they are not transitioning to Cisco - this was communicated this week.

They can't be laid off for 3 years as part of their purchase agreement
they had a layoff of 900 employees right before the acquisition
From my sources, most of the layoffs will be in Cisco as it is getting reorganized for Splunk and AI. Minor adjustments at Splunk.
Thoughts are it su-ked when it happened, and it’s going to su-k a lot more very soon.

Splunker here - we’re all bracing for some type of impact. Like someone already mentioned Gary has already done multiple cuts. Two official layoffs, along with some smaller silent ones.
Not sure what the damage will be, but I can’t imagine we’ll come out completely unscathed this week.

Not sure why everyone keeps parroting that Splunk is immune. Gary was canning us left and right before the acquisition. I know of over a dozen folks from Splunk that are getting hit on Thursday.
