Executive CL Levels

I recall changes were made to executive CL levels a few years ago. Anyone recall the changes?

It is much harder to be an executive nowadays. HR have significantly clamp down on the total number of exec position with the recognition we had far too many previously.

Seriously does anyone know how many 34 Potential + do we have? I heard about 400 which sounds like about 300 too many

We don't need any above 30 because a hc10 38 is a btc 30. Problem solved. All executives outsourced to India. How can they do worse? Exxon wants to save money.

It'll be a wave that goes through the whole workforce... If you don't need as many 38s then you exponentially don't need as many 30,29,28,27 etc.

There will be a cull of the senior exec potentials this year. Recognition that we have far too many at the CL38 range who have no chance of getting there.

@gfz+1tYb5oGl Or you are a 29 potential. Left that off your list.

If you're in an HC10 country and not already a 28, you're unlikely to get beyond 27 going forward.

Most of the functional companies got rid of CL36 potential; only global Projects kept it. Now, your either 38 senior exec, 34 exec leader or 31/33 for technical leader. The sweet roles will go to 38 potential, others will have a good but not great career.

CL 36 is real exec. CL 36 is where you have to sign up to work until 65, are subject to dismissal at DW’s pleasure, and make the real money.
