I survived 18 years of annual layoffs at Cisco, but finally got hit in February. I just wanted to let all of the amazing people at Cisco know that you are not alone, and whatever happens, you'll get through it. This too shall pass. Hang in there!

The ELT are useless and are not qualified for the roles they are in and all of them bullsh-tted their way to promotion. Their hubris and arrogance is staggering and frankly shameful considering the mess they have made. Cisco will be mentioned in the same breath as Xerox, Kodak and others in how not to fu-k up a dominant position. Cisco has not been able to diversify away from R/S in terms of the big dollars and now that franchise is inexorably being eroded. Cisco has been completely out-manoeuvred in what were once very dominant market positions such as DC, compute, security and UC. It is inexcusable. I think Gary sees the issues but it's too little, too late. The ship is going down.
