Any ideas of how far ahead the HR meeting will be put on the calendar if we're getting cut?
Finance group was just told to work from home tomorrow. Tuesday is the anchor day for the group to come in.
are there any updates?
Aug 13th and September 24th. Whoever said above "Finance & Accounting, Operations Management, IT & Systems, Legal & Compliance, and potentially HR " are the first wave is not accurate. Technology will be in September which is corporate tech and streaming tech. The rest are all happening on Tuesday including marketing. Clearly, more might get sprinkled into September.
The Tuesday date is it. I know a few posts said animation heard Friday - not sure what animation division

Sept 14 is a Saturday -maybe a typo as I had heard September 24 unless they were ready earlier
I don't recognize the names of some of the divisions mentioned above as what LA refers to them as - maybe someone else does or it's corporate speak
But I had heard groups are going at same time ie Nick CBS etc ... then they were done for the most part

side opinion - I highly doubt CM is gutting MTV
To take Paramount Global private - all the outstanding shares would need to be purchased - that would be like 15 billion or more...
These dates are not both correct nor are the groups in each wave. Get your facts right if you’re going to post here like you know what you’re saying.
First round will be Finance & Accounting, Operations Management, IT & Systems, Legal & Compliance, and potentially HR (tho HR might be the last to go). Names were already submitted early July.
Second round will be Market Research, Brand Management, Public Relations and Product Marketing teams.
Cleaning up shop before the official merger for a significant shift in company strategy, possibly reducing certain operations and gutting MTV / BET / Logo and other underperforming assets. Lots of references thrown around these meetings about cleaning up upper and middle management. If you know someone who’s gotten a promotion every year, they are likely going to be scrutinized for validity of value.
