Unfortunately folks laid off by AiG and Corebridge are not able to find job in Merlife and are being failed in the interview. Meanwhile MetLife laid off workers get hired by AiG and Corebridge due to their influential network of friends who have a strong say on who they want to hire and fire. Cannot understand the logic and doesn’t sound like a fair treatment. Any MetLife worker from their former life in the to be fired list at AIG or Corebridge have been saved. MetLife workers have been given the golden spoon of entry. AIG and Corebridge workers have been given toilet paper to flush themselves. What a pity!

CIO is looking for more layoffs. The reason is some of his MetLife friends have been laid off. So he want to bring those friends in and fu-k the old folks in corebridge. Accosting to him all existing non MetLife are stupid and useless and they need to fu-k off.
Hearing the leader is already asking friends from former company to submit application and be picked up readily over others. No competition just pick everybody from the former employer.
I have to ask if you are new to the corporate world?
This is how it works. This is how it has always worked.
Senior people or managers are hired. They bring in people they trust from prior companies.
Those people are favored and protected. Some are good and some aren't.
Wait a few years and that leader will fall out of favor as will many of their inner circle.
The whole cycle will repeat. It isn't just IT.
