The absolute BEST thing that AM did was level set (after bankruptcy) and acknowledge what Avaya was and wasn't. The acceptance of On-Prem and the understanding of the real "Journey" resonated and bought Avaya a lot of credibly with frustrated clients. The lesson here is -- just be real.
Take note and learn. Don't go on the automatic counter attack and do things like --
- Deny the volume of layoffs
- Claim you will rehire many impacted via media then quickly have same media partner delete
- Falsely claim Avaya has over 6,000 on payroll full time employees when SEC Filings share LESS THAN 5k at time of Chapter 11 and have had 1/2 dozen reduction in force layoffs since
- MOST CRITICALLY -- STOP going after any critics. You look foolish. Petty. and Severely Untrustworthy.
- AVAYA IS NOT WINNING NEW BUSINESS and you just look like corporate manipulators and criminal liars by claiming otherwise. You are also peppering the media with evidence for partners do go after you legally.
Snap out it. This is not a good look on you.
