Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Bet: Geoff gone within months. Why else is he allowed to take a board position.

No, I don't have insider info on this, but my bet is that he's on the way out. The fact he has been able to take up a board position in another company is very telling. How tf has that been seen to be appropriate, considering the company he leads, and the position he has both on our board and as CEO.

They're letting him keep his dignity, get his hooks into a field he already has experience in, trying not to destroy his career entirely, since he's relatively "young" in CEO terms. They're letting him create a different narrative on our clock, our shares, and shareholder money. Rest assured, this is known by him and is all part of a plan.

Complete speculation, not purporting this to be factual.

Medtronic and Intel need to learn from Starbucks, you have an ineffective CEO, fire them soon enough, dont wait for 8 years!

He took a seat on ANOTHER company's board, OUTSIDE of Medtronic. Try and keep up.

You guys must be new here.

Board seat is a reward for doing what the board wants him to do. Which is extract value from the company and hand it to the shareholders.

They aren’t interested in what is best for Medtronic, they are interested in the size of the check Neutron Geoff delivers. And he’s been good to the board at the cost of the employees.
