Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

So happy to be somewhere else

Landed a gig outside of finance and couldn't be happier. It is amazing how toxic Schwab was. Not every place is like that. Get out as soon as you can. The downward spiral will continue.

I love all the whiney people. They ask "why do we have to this the right way, its HARD". Yes, here come the down votes.
For the green folks here, and make no mistake, leadership knows its mostly "green" employees stirring this pot, put your big boy (or girl) pants on and start doing your job...or yes, leave. Stop taking someone else's opportunity. Y'all the whiniest, most entitled white folk I EVER did meet.

I’m also doing something outside of finance now. It took me months to recover from the extreme burnout I had after years at Schwab. It has to be the most toxic environment I have ever experienced in my decades long finance career. If you have an opportunity to leave, DO IT!

Also, the comment about people returning to Schwab - maybe a few years ago when it was a different company but I don’t know anyone in recent years who has left and returned - everyone I’ve spoken to in recent years is so happy to be out for good. If you have an opportunity to go somewhere else, don’t even think twice, do it!

You'll be trying to schwoomerang back the first chance you get. You all do. The grass is greenest here and you will see that as soon ad the honeymoon perood with your new company is over. Hopefully they'll reject your disloyal @$$.

USAA has no issues making their own sh&t show. It has nothing to do with Schwab. They just settled another lawsuit for fraud.

The passive aggressive reply, aka schwab nice, when you ask a reasonable question like "why do we do it that way", is the hardest part to deal with. Congrats to all who have gone on to better things.

It’s amazing. Schwab managed to ruin Schwab, TD, OX, CT…

At least we’re accomplished at something.

I got another job in finance and am having the same experience. TDA was great but Schwab is full of toxic leaders that make everyone miserable. It's nice to work with a team that gets along. Micro-management and passive aggression is the Schwab way, "Schwab nice" is the facade they try to project to cover it up.
