The only thing managers at GF care about is their next promotion. They don't care how they get it and who they have to step on to achieve it, but that's their only motivation. If you're in their way, you're sc--wed. If you're not, you're ignored. They don't care about employees beyond using them to achieve their - not the company's - goals.

Are you kidding?! Our managers are the best in the industry! They are heros and trustworthy. They are on the front lines everyday battling for you. They aren’t toxic or misled us ever. Shame on you. You should be grateful to them

Yes, unfortunately this is true of most corporations, welcome to corporate. My suggestion is work for government, defense contractor or dr-g company. These are things I wish someone advised at the start of my career.
