I'm not surprised by her missing the closure call. She's been an absent CEO for the majority of her 3-year term. She makes time to meet high level politicians, TV personalities, etc. - but misses many town hall calls.

She is like cotton-candy. When you first meet her - you like her! Sweet - but very soon you realize there is no substance to her. She has one finely crafted message she uses in multiple public situations, but once you've heard it...multiple times...you realize the cotton candy is gone...

I saw where someone commented on her Instagram post yesterday about diversity and she DELETED the comments. I have a screenshot but this site won’t let me post it. The comments were:

You're thinking of inclusion when deciding to eliminate 2,000+ jobs by closing Jacksonville and Denver offices to you can quote by a director "save millions" ???

Where were you on those calls today while thousands of your employees risk losing their jobs and having to up and move their lives?

It’s a just a terrible look for someone that’s the CEO of a ~100+ year Foutune ~75 company with a long history of non-profit roots focused on helping Teachers be able to save for retirement to have her underlings schedule 3 separate calls the day of the announcement that everyone has whispered about for weeks - one of which was 12 minutes long and the folks who ran it didn’t take any questions and just sent out some FAQ doc that multiple lawyer friends said was ridiculous in how obtuse it was written. A huge part of big business is optics. You don’t go to Paris on a private jet to try and party with Simone Biles and Lebron James when you’re closing a Denver pillar company / location that effects thousands of people without showing your face and with no mention of the community relations / impacts etc.

Whoever paid for it is way down the list (if it was the company that’s even worse optics) - either way it’s one of the more TACKY things i’ve ever seen.

If you’re a real one comment this on her LinkedIn. That’s the only place it will matter lol.

She’s a CEO of a company and makes enough she could buy her own plane. As long as TIAA is not paying for I’m not sure what the issue is. I’d be more surprised if she didn’t fly private in general.
