During the CrowdStrike incident, several hard-working folks were engaged and responded in a professional, effective, and timely manner. Good luck getting that level of service from an MSP! Just sayin'....
basically web Infrastructure, storage, compute and Unix. A new team will consists of "tier 2" support that will take escalations from the MSP.
Learning and Development is taking some hits. Unfortunately they’re getting rid of the wrong people. Several on the design team and program managers so far. Field L&D notifications coming Thursday. This epic failure was obvious a year ago.
"Work(er) Elimination 2025!!!" Perhaps ELT should schedule this as an annual event to further boost morale. Could set it up like the "Renewal Carousel" in Logan's Run (old 70's movie). Everyone could stand around and chant "Go,Go,Go!" while the "lucky" carousel riders get "optimized". People would hug, some would high-five. Good times. Now, "GET BACK TO WORK!!"
Any news out of Learning and Development?
Heard from a few folks they were offered salary cuts by like 50%!
You would never hear of Phillips 66 management doing that themselves or even ELT to help save jobs.
Lot of people in corporate IT and field IT got notices y’day

Oh good, let's outsource more of our IT organization. Sure, it takes two weeks to get what used to take 30 minutes to get fixed now, but think of the SAVINGS!
