Silent layoffs are happening across the company. The company does not want to publicly admit that layoffs are happening to save its "best workplace" image. However many people are being let go and taking a look at the posts on linkedin from former employees is evidence of this. People are also being put on unfair PIPs right after a good review cycle.

10% of R&D was laid off the day after the US election. Management is trying really hard to bury it.
Getting let go because you were on a performance plan and didn’t meet your goals is not a layoff.
