Avaya will bought soon. I was impacted and on the job hunt. The only Avaya roles I am seeing are companies that want an Avaya expert temporarily while they move off to a competitor’s platform.
Avaya has made it clear to customers that they are ki-ling off the foundational stuff (as well as the people in-house that supported it) and forcing all customers to go to the “new” stuff which is immature, and inferior to competitors products but still twice the price.
I'm still riding the wave here, life is good at mid management, you are under the radar and senior management don't care about you it is what it is I'm happy to draw a pay check and sit it out.

2025? Some people will be rehired. Some excellent talent were let go but those will get jobs soon elsewhere.
Many whiners and free riders are crying over their lost fake prestige, useless titles and overinflated egos popping.
(A note to those who keep on insulting Avaya)
Avayans will work harder than before and push forward till the brand is back to its golden days. Competition does not have superior products not better references. We still defeat them in their own backyards time and again.
The amount of nepotism and subjective selectiveness in HR is gone and done. No more untouchable super-heroes. A fresh start where each has to earn his salary through sweating no through as* kissing.
Those good ppl who were let go, Focus on your new opportunities and let avaya be. You are strong and experienced and you will figure it out. After all avaya did a lot of good to a lot of people who stabbed her in the back. Choose not to be one of them.
