Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Omar Ishrak - legacy

Legacy of Omar is a tough subject. Executed one of the largest Med device acquisitions, which led to MDT stock doing well in his time. But what about innovation, distraction of VBH, and most importantly the "GE"fication of MDT - starting with bringing in people like GM to run the company. GM was hand picked by Omar. Overall, I cannot help but think that Omar's impact on MDT was net negative.
Curious what other people think?

Side note - His impact on Intel (after he became Board member and Chair) is a disaster.

@3ogn, and you don't see any connection between having the inept BoD members/management and layoffs?

What happened to this board being about layoffs? I've seen only propaganda here for months. Admins- delete this $hit. Cafe is for gossip.

His SPAC and Allurion Technology involvement are super sketchy. Should be investigated for fraud.

Exactly what I have been thinking! It almost looks like non sustainable success , the pattern repeats every time Omar steps down as CEO in companies
