Ford is a sinking ship without a rutter or a Captain. I sit in my directors meeting and listen to the direction from above and the directions sent to the salary engineers below. It is clear the senior leaders have no plan and are out of touch. Every action is short term and reactionary. They cannot plan past the next quarter and are surprised that nothing is improving. The only tools they have are, blame the salary workers and cut cost. I expect another round of layoffs in the Fall to make up for the bad earnings. I plan to retire January 2026, after the Fed cuts rates in 2025 and my pension lump sum goes up. If I did not have a pension I would find a new job now. Bill better act fast and sell F-series to VW and Mustang to Changan Automobile before Ford goes bankrupt and his stock is worthless.
