IOT2 also is comparable to average box office returns going back to 2010 when adjusting for inflation. The major caveat in that figure, though, is that ticket prices over that span have outpaced the rate of inflation while the number of tickets sold have dramatically decreased.

Meaning, while numbers are up due to ticket price increases to the tune of 33% as expenses continue to rise by closer to 20%, there is still a smaller number of people consuming the content with no indication of that trend changing anytime soon (Deadpool and Wolverine notwithstanding).

The reality is, Hollywood, advertisers, and the investment class waged a culture war that the market didn't ask for or want, but they all refuse to acknowledge it.

‘INSIDE OUT 2’ has become the highest grossing animated film of all time.

right before this movie came out pixar laid off a ton of animators so they wouldnt recieve a bonus from this movie's success
