If I spend 25 or 26 years at Whole Foods and earn that lifetime discount, I doubt I can afford to shop there - discount or no discount. I think I will be forced out even after approximately 20 years. At that point, I will be considered overpaid and too old (aching body parts from all the work done at Whole Foods). You can tell by looking at the folks in the store who has been there long term. Can't stand up straight or walk normal anymore. Problem is a lot of them can't get a job elsewhere. They look so defeated and broken.
Whole Foods needs to do a lot better than that.
I wonder if they did this to attempt to butter people up for the annual survey.

Lifetime discount for 50,000 service hours or about 24 years. So nothing good you will still over pay for groceries even with a 20% discount.

Heard the info second hand nothing definitive. But nothing good has come down with announcements ever that I can remember. Hopefully hurts sales if they cut it down. Global keeps cutting hours all the time because of “Labor” and not just saying it’s just blatant greed.

Seriously? How much savings do they get taking away from the discount? Many are already shopping at Trader Joes, Walmart, Smart and Final as they offer better pricing than Whole Foods for equivalent products - even with the discount.
So how will it look to Whole Foods customers if Whole Foods employees come into the store with their Whole Foods aprons/clothes but carrying Trader Joes and other competitor shopping bags because the pricing is better elsewhere? Note not many employees have cars to store their other groceries in.
Heard part of it is about the TM discount. Would assume they are dropping the percentage or eliminating it. I doubt it will be anything beneficial to TMs
