Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

I’m bored, so lets discuss who do you think would want to buy us?

I got to the point I absolutely do not care about either the company or my future in it. On the lookout for another job, and waiting to be unceremoniously exited with some change thrown at me. So what do you think?

Those private equity companies will regret that they converted debt to equity. The longer they wait, the less buyers will be interested. The sweet spot is showing 2 quarters of better profitability due to all of the cost cutting and customers still didn't have sufficient time to migrate to someone else. That puts Avaya around June 2025 and sale time, all private cloud and managed services to genesys, ACO back to RingCentral, and AXP to Five9 or others.

Avaya... The Blockbuster Video of the comms World. Too slow, no innovation, flogging a cash cow and died the natural death. Not Avaya.... they acquired another Blockbuster Video in the form of Nortel and have died (Ch11) twice... It's gone on so long now, there's no value or anything to sell. Spectacular mismanagement.

No buyers for a Corporation that never makes a profit and files Ch 11 every few years to stay in the game

Avaya faces significant challenges in attracting potential buyers. Its technology is considered obsolete, and executives lead the company with questionable reputations from previous roles at respected firms. Furthermore, Avaya's customer base is shrinking and aging. While some long-standing chief information and technology officers have financially supported the company, they will likely depart soon. The incoming generation of technology leaders will probably steer clear of Avaya, viewing it as a risky and undesirable investment.

Pretty sure Genesys has been trying to sell for years with no luck. And they’re in a much better position than us. So what does that mean for us?
